This year, winter has been colder than ever. And nothing is better than coming back home to go straight to your cocoon aka your bedroom to hibernate. You do not need to be an architect, or you may be reading this during summertime but you can really imagine how to get a little warmth and softness. Bedrooms are the least public rooms in the house and very personal spaces and in each item we try to change we must work toward keeping them that way. When we need to make a room cozier, from bed design to the wall painting design to the curtain designs must reflect warmth coziness, and comfort. Design-wise, hygge, a Danish word meaning warmth and coziness calls for candlelight, soothing textures, soft earth tones, and rich wood accents. So, think about these cozy room ideas to get you started.
Cover the windows
Not covered cold windows are one if the main reasons that a bedroom doesn’t feel cozy and comfortable. If you are going for cozy, don’t overdo it in your curtain designs. Your curtains don’t have to be long and include strong patterns if you have large windows. They shouldn’t dominate or take the mood of the rest of the room.
Beddings
you can also try to work on your bed design. One of the first things you should add to your space to make it cosier for winter is to start layering up your bedding. You can start by layering up your bedding. You can add cushions, pillows, blankets for a cosy look and comfortable style.
Change those colors
Work on your wall painting design. Waking up early and leaving a well-layered cozy bed isn’t the best feeling. That’s why you should create a bedroom that has an energy that enhances the mood so you make that act a lot easier. The two main things that can affect your mood would be light and colors. That’s why a colorful bedroom is not that bad. One of the easiest ways is to use the pop of color with paint. For winter you can go dark. Darker hues will add a dramatic coziness. Paint your walls a relaxing and deep cool tone to bring in another element of pure comfort.
AT last way to add some warmth to your cozy space is to try to blend a different variety of textures and materials together in different layers. A woven headboard combined with a faux fur throw blanket, a wool area rug, and a pair of wooden nightstands can give a room lots of visual depth. Think about combining a lot of materials as the more textures you combine, the cozier it will start to feel. Layers of color, texture, and designs will instantly make any bedroom (or any other room) much more inviting.
